I got to watch my son and the cub expert test out the 125 and 1200 today. They did share a little seat time with me today. It wasn't equal time but any seat time is better then no seat time.

Not really what I've done today but a review of the past couple of days.
Evan was driving the 125 around Tuesday and the steering wheel came off. We've been talking about what to do if something happens when he's on one of the cubs and he reached down and turned the key off just like we've been talking about. In fact that morning he told me that's what he would do if he had a problem on the cub. He made me proud and his mom worried. I showed Evan how to disasemble a carter carb and how to soak it in a can of carb cleaner. Tonight we get to rebuild the carb and remove the bowl from the gas tank and clean it out. He's been enjoying getting his hands dirty. His mom just but he enjoys it. I think I've tracked down a plow for him so I can teach him how to plow the garden beds. If he likes it I'll try and take him to the red neck plow days in SC on 3-19-11. I'm really hoping he takes a liking to plowing I need some company going to these plow days. We'll fire up the cubs and get some seat time making laps around the yard tonight. He starts off on the 125 then switches to the 1200 for a change. He does pretty good with it but I've got to adjust the seat for his legs and not mine. Over all we've been having a blast with the cubs the past week. Allen's vist has gotten him hooked on "seat time". Before he would ask to drive the cubs but now he has to have his "seat time!" Thanks Allen! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
