Very interesting B Brown.
Would love to see a video of this beast in action! Also, how do you supply oil for the turbos? This engine doesn't have a pressurized oiling system, does it? I see you have an air/fuel meter on the dash, how does the ratio play out under vacuum/boost? Can the jets supply adequate fuel under boost and still meter fuel properly at idle? Do you have any spark knock under boost? Speaking of boost, how many lbs are you pushing? 1-1.5? I would think that the head gasket would not like much more than that! I'm sure that a set of bearing inserts are either in this engine's past or near future. VERY interesting concept and it's nice to see someone pushing the envelope with these fun little tractors. Good job! Now, about that video?

Was totally impressed by the 149's ability this evening when it drug up with entire tree. The wife is standing at the end to show how long it was and about 12 inches diameter at the base.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
