Autoace, I just looked through your 1650 album. Man, you did a great job on it. Unlikely mine will get the powder coat, but your work is certainly something for me to shoot for as I get mine back into shape!

I spent almost a year restoring the tractor . I just happened to get lucky enough to know a guy, That worked at a local manufacturing company that has a powder coating oven big enough to get all the parts in. Thanks for all the comments on how it turned out. Before the restore I had beaten the tar out of the thing and I felt like I owed it a little pampering.

This 1982 782 HYDRO was given to me by my dad. He bought an 882 and this has been sitting in his shed for the past 3 years. The original engine has been replaced with a Kohler 17 Series II. I know this is a MTD, but it does say International on the dash.

I may get a bit of abuse for this, but I was going to buy a John Deere 332. Somebody got to it before me. Before you judge me for this look into them. They are a stout little tractor.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
