So, if you're not eating the yote, why kill it?

Because here in my world they are not on the top of the food chain, I am. And being they are competing with me for sustenance their going to loose, with their life.
I've eaten yote twice when I was much younger, and it's not real good, might have been ok with some pork and ground up into brats, but I think I'll pass.
They are just no good for anything. They are killing machines. They kill the rabbits, turkey chicks, fawns, eat the duck eggs, well so do coons, so we kill them also.
I will post a disturbing picture tomorrow that we got two weeks ago on our cuddeback. A yote with a fawn, and it was still alive. You see a pack of yotes don't kill their pray like say a mountain lion does. A cougar grabs their pray by the throat and asphyxiates them, in other words cuts off the air supply and the animal dies fairly fast. A yote on the other hand does not have claws to hold their pray and do this. One will grab it by the ham strings and the others will just begin chewing on it while it's alive, until the deer finally succumb to death.
Miserable way to go. I know it's nature way, but me and mother nature don't see eye to eye very often.

Ya forgot to mention pheasants?

In our area we used to have a great population of pheasants. Haven't seen or heard a pheasant call in over 10 years. Since the vermin yotes moved into our area, NO more pheasants!

I keep a loaded rifle in my garage for yotes only. It's loaded at all times. Before I started this I used to run in the house, load my rifle & then they were gone. Since starting this tactic I've disposed of 22 to 24 yotes in the past 8 years or so. My neighbors love me, they call me anytime they see a yote around their house. Oh, these vermin have been responsible of 3 attacks on doggies in our subdivision. One lab needed 80 some sutures to close her back up.

I have a motto, 'WAK & STAK'em'

Here is the yote and fawn.
Hard to see after it's been reduced.

Default Boys are back in town

Got a couple pictures of the boys hanging out by the house in the alfalfa.
The second and last picture is a buck we call half rack, he's a 3 1/2 year old this year. Last year as a two year old he broke off his antler and must of injured his pedical, now this year he only grew a spike on that side, and 7 points on the right antler.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
