A few more things done today on the 100.
Got the lift handle back on, along with the arm for the sleave hitch. Also made up a release rod return spring washer for below the spring in the lift handle, was that a bear to get it to work smooth. Getting the lift arm hooked up was another story, there were alot of words that weren't in the dictionary But I noticed I forgot to fill the creeper before installation, I can do it through the breather, right?

Todd,
Your going to have to throw a blanket over that at night. The glow will keep the neighbors awake! Man that is coming together nice. Is that stainless or chrome fasteners? I like the addition of the acorn nuts to cover the treads. Your going totally bling on us here! Great close up detail shots of the sweet 100! Regards, Chris

Thanks,
Chris, I only used stainless with the acorn nuts, everything else is new bolts, nuts and washers. I know it's not the original IH hardware, but I wasn't intending a full blown restore, just a "Face Lift"

Sloppy day here today, that means it's a cub kinda day!
But it wasn't as I planned. Had to take the lift handle, lift bar and lift bar attaching plate out because it seemed to be binding on the lift bar. I noticed the lift bar has a slight bend on the front, and it seems I had it on upside down, (flipped) so took it out and turned it around and now there isn't a bind. I didn't think these bars had a slight bend, or is it just mine? I can tell you, I'd rather go to the dentist than take that out again (sorry, no pics)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
