Talking

Lets see those IH Cub Cadets! Here is my 71! This serial # 184004 1967 model 71 has:

Heavy Sears wheel weights

New 2 link tire chains

IH wheel weights {mounted inside}

60# counter weight {not shown}

Brinly spring assist

IH 42" dozer/push blade

Custom stainless steel light bar

2 head lights {I only need one light, 2 looks better}

Halogen rear back up light

Rear tail light

Custom Track Vac rear hitch

Newer Kohler K161 {from my 72}

New Hy-Tran transmission fluid

Cub Cadet motor oil change

Sun Pro voltmeter {works great!}

New Cub Cadet front rims, and tires

1/4" rear wheel spacers

All factory rubber bumpers and gromits

Very nice shape, have all original parts

Just flat-out a great running garden tractor! I use this set up for snow removal. Here in N.E Ohio, we get a lot of snow, and Lake Erie effect snow as well. The biggest problem is keeping traction before I run into any power loss problems for what I need the tractor for. I can pull my '82 F-100 up the drive with no problem.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
