Well Last night I put the 30 weight oil in and took the snow blade off, sharpened the 48" deck blades and installed the deck with a new belt and adjusted per book, then added the fresh wheel weights. Tried her out this morning and the deck works great and is super quiet, the motor does not bog down at all and runs great. This is the first time i had the deck working since I had it. Very excited to mow the lawn with it...........

Charged batteries and fired up the 73 the 102 and moved them out of the shed.
Pulled the Argi-fab wagon over to the garage with the 73. Pumped up the tires on the 86 and it fired right up but is penned in by the 128 and a bunch of other projects. Nice to get these Cubs out of storage. I think my son is going to take one of these to mow with while he rebuilds the engine in his 106. The wagon which I painted Cub Yellow several years ago needs a sanding, some repairs, and a new coat of paint. I may do that this spring. Pulled all the wheels and removed the tires to replaced the dry rotted ones within the next week. I use this yo haul wood for the house. Of course The grand kids like to pull it around the yard too. Regards, Chris

I finally got around to pulling the rearend from my cc 100. i posted awhile back that i was having issues with the shifter spinning around. so i looked over the post from merk about fixing it so that's my current side project. after that's fixed i'll finish tearing down the 100 to paint and replace what is needed.
P.S. Thanks for posting your walkthrough Merk! It's very helpful. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
