Thats not true, if you are pulling in a stock class, (depending on your clubs version of stock) you can pull and do well for little money. In a stock class its all about the little things, not how much you can spend.
Why do you want to discourage people from pulling? Get them started with stock and they can move up as funds permit if they want to. Many are happy to just have something fun to do without spending a ton of money. Randy

Granted, you can put as much money as you want into a rig, but it's not necessary. Now, if you constantly push it, you'll find the next weakest link and I think that's where CadetTy was coming from. If you want to win with something "bullet-proof" you'll need an investment. Either in time or money, and sometimes both! Our club charges $5/each to hook so for the both of us, that's cheap entertainment! But, if we NEEDED to be at the front of the pack, all it takes is $$$$ ! |

I agree, it really depends on the clubs rules. Some clubs stock means stock and some are anything but stock. The clubs I have pulled with stock means stock and its all about tuning, weight placement and reading the track. I took me a full season to start to get to know my tractor when I started. Randy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
