I plowed up my garden and then ran my tiller over it. I'll get some photos of the tractors when I get a chance...the only downside was that the end plate that I welded on isn't holding up too hot on one side (but that's because of my less than stellar welding skills). The upshot is that the new tines did a great job, and it was fun having the 1250 to run the tiller and the 73 to pull the plow...no more switching up like last year (73 did all of the work). Jason
Wild Bill: I liked your photos...gotta convince my wife that I need action shots too! |

Messed with trying to start the cub since last week. Had spark, cleaned the points, fuel smell in the bore. Cleaned the SP and regapped. Blast of ether, she no start. For the heck of it, bought a new SP, put it in today.....she fired right up like always. I was all ready to tear into it, but not necessary....so I mounted my carry all and am ready to spread some lime. Some times you get lucky!

Well after a long winters nap I decided to fix the #2 123's S.G. Sanded down the commutator cleaned it up and put some new used good brushes in it!! Went to start it and it was chugging along faster than it has in a while but no start,Helps if you put gas in !! I drained it last summmer when the starter generator decided to quit.
I lubed up the lube points checked the fluids and drug 3 2 foot sections of rail around the back for about an hour chargeing up the battery and getting everything good and warm.It unfortunatly hasnt ran all winter so this is my first cub time in months!! I hooked up the tiller and fooled around in the garden for a couple hours.I paied the kids a penny a rock they through out!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
