They have it plain with no chrome for less. Still cheaper than busting the threads out of your block. Just don’t want to see you spend $$$ and then have to turn around and do it over and spend even more. Your call.

We used to have a saying back when I was running a construction materials business “ We can always afford to do it right the second time” . Meaning do it right the first time and you will save money.

On the other side of the coin, I've seen beautiful stacks that were simply too large and actually hindered torque because they didn't help scavenge the cylinder properly. Just cuz it's cheap, dont make it crud, just cuz it's pricey, don't make it good. Plowboy is doing the right thing, asking questions and making up his mind AFTER he's done some reasearch. Now, how much does surfin the 'net count as research? Well, how informative is this forum? |

True, but I've seen some fat wallets that were pretty slow.......... nice one.
the 30 carb is a waste of time unless you are taking the governor off. stay with a stock 26. I wouldn't recommend going over 1 1/8 inside diameter of the pipe. if your rules allow bigger engines I'd consider that |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
