Been a long time coming....
I know it's been a while since I put my progress on here for my hydraulic expansion of the 784. In the meantime, I have found many ways to fail. Tonight, I figured out how it was going to work and got everything lined out.
The first pic is of the mess that is the hydraulic hoses - this was a real challenge because this all has to fit behind the gas tank. No pics yet, but it fits like a charm. I have yet to get the wiring harness behind the steering column - this will clean it up a lot. There seems to be ample room behind the valve bank and I think it will work out well. Also, it's almost impossible to see, but the valve on the far left side of the picture has float capabilities. This will allow my mower deck to float and will also all sleeve hitch attachments to float or use down pressure on command. No slotted metal bars to chains. All of the tabs that control the valves can slide back and forth pretty easily. The levers are lined up so that when the tabs are lined up, everything is kosher. I had to bend one of the hydraulic levers so that my weld on the center lever wouldn't interfere. Worked out pretty slick. Still have to get the links put back together, but that will come in time. I need to slap a coat of paint on the levers, but I had enough of the rubber grips off of the old levers that I put them on just to see what they would look like. I am getting pretty excited to see everything put together and not leaking. My pictures do not show where I ran my hoses. I ran the hoses along the left hand side of the frame - there was nothing ran there and the 4 hoses fit perfectly between the trunion linkage and the frame. I used a zip tie to keep the hoses out of the fan. The back end, where the female couplers will mount, is not finished. I am planning on taking a piece of metal and bolting it between the frame and the transaxle. I want to keep all of the hoses on the inside to protect them as much as possible. Let me know if you have any questions or comments - glad to hear suggestions! Nate

Stuebenville - that's just a stone's throw from me! I haven't seen too many people that live reasonably close.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
