Yes. It’s getting close. But come spring it’s going to have a relapse to get the rest of the paint on.

Front view, she has eyes now.
723193FD-649B-4E3A-8F4F-B20DAA1D9B46.jpg Backstory, these headlights came from the 123 I’m stripping for parts for this tractor. The light panel is actually from a 100 and a previous owner cut the sides to make it fit in a 123. It doesn’t hold the grill very well so I took some rubber hose and stuck it on the grill tabs on the top to snug it up and it works ok. I hope it stays. Now, all I need is to get a battery for it... and get the brake loose. It’s rusted right in the tranny. I hope I don’t have to pull it back out to get at that, I think I probably have no choice though. Yes I know the hood ornament is backward.

I got a battery on clearance at TSC yesterday for $13! Installed it last night, and fired it up. Purrs like a kitten with the stock muffler and elbow from the 123 that was still in good shape. Those stock mufflers are really quiet compared to the tin can aftermarket universals.

It was only a 200CCA but it starts it just fine.
I two 300Cca’s there this year for $19.99 on clearance. They’re changing their brand to Traveller so I think that’s why they’re on clearance. They had a few left when I got this one, it’s carlisle PA if you want to take a road trip to save a few bucks on a battery.

I was out driving it around today and something went pop in the tranny. I can’t get it out of reverse. I’m thinking broken shift fork?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
