Been killin me the idea of using spray cans but went to TSC to get the corn head grease which they call cotton spindle grease or something, and there it was, transport yellow. Not too bad against a new CC. Time to finish cleaning it up and put the steering box back together.

Called my local TSC to see if they had Corn Head Oil or Cotton Picker Spindle Grease and they thought it was a crank call until I gave them the stock number.

It was the only "Transport yellow" they had. Just wanted it for small parts as mentioned above. The big stuff I still have to choose a good paint and hardener combo.
Should I not use this even for the steering box?

I had problems getting that TS paint to dry. Took days. In a climate controlled shop.
I buy the IH paint. It's expensive, but it is consistently good.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
