For those intersted, I pulled the 107 hydro back out, and tried to put in the 1811 rear. Cam plate has a bolt thru ball link that hits my frame tunnel. To see more, go to my post of today, http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=10195

Thanks for following! This is a PITA!! Can't wait to see it back on duals and drivable again!

William you've got to be nuts doing this conversion! I'm glad it's going so well for you. Thanks for all the updates! I've been following your progress.

Thanks Duke! Today, after I dragged the 1811 rear to far end of driveway for cleaning, my friends 3 yr old took a big old handfull of sand and dumped all over it. I was gonna beat him silly, but decided he could sit on bench and watch me and my little girl play. Oh you should have seen him squirming! Great punishment that was! Violence is never necessary!!!!! Tempting, but there are better ways.

Just be thankful you didn't have a cover off and had sand poured inside of it!

Default great progress!

Ported hydro rear is transferred to my 107 transaxle! Went pretty smooth. I have a couple questions illustrated in these pics. on the IH 107 rear there is a gasket with 3 holes. 2 holes (outer positions ) are for small bolts in pinion gear housing. What is the lowest center hole for? The CCC rear and pump didnt have the bolts, or the low center hole. I put it together anyhow, but should I be worrried about it? Im thinking its an oil flow return hole for the pinion bearings. If the oil can flow in, it can flow out. Im thinking.

I did notice , and I had been thinking of this before, that IH ran the oil supply line up over the charge pump then back down under and to the charge pump. The CCC setup went straight to the charge pump. No interference, no problems. Anyone have any ideas why IH did that? Seems like a bad engineering decision to me. Just over thinking a simple ripple in fluid paths. Something CCC did right.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
