When I go work on mine to replace the fan and the spirol pin, I'll look but IIRC mine is at the flywheel end of the engine.

Thank you for all the good ideas. I think i am going to go with GR Starter and glow plug upgrade. I know i seen the link for the glow plug upgrade with starter solenoid. I need to find it. Currently the tractor is torn apart. I went ahead and ordered the PTO Clutch from Xtreame

My biggest dilemma is I do not live where the tractor is stored.

Defiantly makes repairs slow.

I will keep everyone updated with progress

Remember that the D600's flywheel is at the radiator/front of the engine bay. The driveshaft comes off of the front crank pulley so rotation is correct.

Default Battery for the 782D

A really good battery for the 782D is the Odysey Battery.
Contact them and they have one that fits and is a good cc amperage.

Just measure the width height and height of the battery tray.

Just call and give him the size of the battery tray and the height from the
trey to the bottom of the black plastic lip of the dash panel. All in all it has
to fit under there.

they are listed by size and the position of the + AND - terminals.
Tell them what tractor you are trying to put it in.
I did have the information on a hard disc that cleaned.
They are not cheap but the cc and they will outlast at least two
other batteries.

Was going to go that route but put in a block heater in the front of the head. If you do this one see jeff for a new
support for the fan jack. As it needs to have a hole in it for the heater. Newer glow plugs and a torque starter
last year used the heater three times. But it needed to be on for at least two hours.

Here's the link for the gear reduction starter. It lives in our technical library.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
