Cadet Farmer,
Which end of the row? To the right of Topper or to the left?

I had fun, but I think last year's show had more displays, etc. I guess the economy kept a few people away that had to travel. My friend Buzz said just after I left that a guy came in with a trailer load of stuff, and really good prices. Gas tanks for $5, a whole steering column including steering wheel and gear box for $5.

I can't wait for next year's show.

Default Cubarama

TMo.
Then man from Louisianna was to the right of Topper, all the way to the end next to the road. I don't remember anyone bringing in a trailer, after I got there, but I was quite busy in the swap meet area for about 3 hours.

I think there were more swap meet vendors this year, but the show was smaller maybe.

The man from Louisianna, had a nice drawbar for a H farmall. My brother tried to buy it from him, and he told us he had just bought for his own tractor, and wouldn't sell it. Isn't that always the way, he brought a bunch of stuff, and then someone wants what he bought for himself.

Cadet Farmer (CF),
I thought the show was smaller this year from last year myself. Not as many on display as it was last year.

I really wish I could have stayed longer, but I was lucky I could come at all this year. I had plan to go every since last year's, but Friday night I learned that my bil was coming over that Saturday morning to help me finished up our Buick Century. We changed out the motor in it and had to finish it up and see if it would run. It did. Anyways that means we were rushed to get home.

It's usually the last weekend in September. 2011 is the 50th anniversary of the Cub Cadet and I talked to the owner of JP's Tractor Salvage, the host of Cub-arama, who told me the featured tractor will be the CCO for next year, so they're wanting as many of the Originals as possible.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
