I pulled it all apart to check it out more, we haven’t had any snow to run it in yet. The idler was indeed on backwards with the spacer in the front. I switched it around and it’s aligned better. It’s not perfect but better. I feel like the belt is a little too big, because the idler is almost right against the pulley. If it stretches at all they’ll be rubbing. I got the size it calls for on cubfaq, so I always seem to have belt size issues. Even my pants won’t stay up!

a 5L410 measures 5/8" wide by 41"
"L" series belts measure what the numbers state, in this case 41" The equivalent of a 1/2x 37 would be 4L370 If your pulley's accept a 5/8" wide belt, go with a 5L400 or in a traditional belt, a B-37 which measures 5/8 wide by 40" Yes it is confusing, but not if you understand how they are measured/classified. |

I get mixed up on the ID and OD measurements. I guess I need another belt.

So here’s my confusion… Cubfaq.com says 954-0284, which looks like a 5/8-41, which is where I got the 5L410 from. 954-0154 is for 800 - 1650, 1100 isn’t it? This is going on my 1912.
