Do you have the machinery to drill and tap the shaft or did you have it done by a machine shop? I had to pay $35 to get mine drilled and tapped. Just curious. I may send my other one to you

I drilled it while the pump was together in my drill press. The fixture that I made to work on the pump held it nice and steady. Then I just tapped it by hand. Did all this before it took the pump apart to overhaul it. The shaft is case hardened so you have to go easy drilling it at first and you need a good drill bit and cutting oil.

Very nice Sam, Thank's for all the pictures too! I'd like to try my hand at doing that job somtime this summer. I got a 2182 w/ a broken housing and would like to get it fixed. Im sure I'll be refering back to this thread from time to time for assistance. Thank's Again!
