Here are some from the 1872 I rebuilt as my main mower. The PO was a real cobble artist. When he quit using the 1872 because the input shaft on the hydro was leaking because of a bad driveshaft he jury rigged the 60 in haban under a Farmall cub. I just wish I had thought to take a picture. here is some of his fine work.
Note the brass shifter knob and the dash plastic repaired with aluminum flashing. DSCF1590.jpg The use of a household light switch to activate the pto, DSCF1587.jpg Front of trans case with a welded repair with threaded rod to attach to front hanger. The axle tubes had been repaired with oversize bolts with nuts inside the housing. IMG_20160826_114852.jpg I wish I had taken more of some of his work. Sad thing is he had receipts for many high dollar repairs done by a local shop that either ripped him off or he was so abusive that the repairs did not hold. Motor was rebuilt with new jugs and pistons and the next year the motor was repaired again with one cyl overbored.

Picked up this 782 last weekend....
 QA tabs are welded in the front too... I will say it’s entirely functional for it’s purpose.
