Got the 982/4 running last night. Cleaned the carb, replaced fuel lines and filter. Dropped the oil and will get that back in today and pressure wash.

Seems to run/drive strong but definetly needs all fluids and filters and a good wash. 1 front and 1 rear are beyond tubing, so I just dropped way too much on a set of 4 Carlisle Multitrac CS tires.

IH only ever made a red 982 and it could of had all the options or none. CCC made the Y&W 982 in 1982, 1983 & 1984 only. The model number will end in 100 if it is a true Y&W machine and 399 if it was red when it left the factory.

A 982 is a plain super with no options.
A 984 will have the rear PTO and Cat 0 hitch
A 986 will have front remotes, rear PTO & Cat 0 hitch

There never was a 984 or 986 decal for the hood, just a 982 decal.

Then came the 1912 & 1914.....
Who'd have guessed a year later we'd be talking about those and have a set 4 S/Ns apart.
