I was able to bring it into the shop today for a going over, needs a new head gasket on the left side which I did today.
Needs a boot for the driveshaft also, oil change and filter.
Spark plugs were loose, still has the crosshatches on the bore, not very dirty otherwise.
"On with the show, this is it"

Oil and filter changed out.Filter was on tight enough to crush it.
Then it started running funny, missing, smoking.Found out it has the wrong spark plugs installed by P.O.
It had RC12YC's with the washers on them, one washer got stuck in the spark plug hole.I was able to remove it,goody for me!
Put in the correct RV17YC's which do not use a washer, all is well.
On to today's auction.

Fine looking machine. Hood very shiny! What is your method to give the plastics their luster?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
