I also noticed in the real photo there is a recess on the front upper rounded side so i cut strips 2" wide out of 7/16" osb and screwed them on. You can kind of make them out in the photo. I still have to paint it, apply IH logos and paint the stickers on the sides (yes i said paint the stickers!) My wife comes in very handy for this. She is great at the lettering details. I did hook it up to the tractor as you can see just to test run it. It works great! Everything was just shooting out the back. Ill post more photos after its painted and the screen is in place. Thanks for looking and additional ideas are always appreciated seeing i'm just kind of throwing this together with no plans to follow. Just a picture.

Neat idea i like it! Looking at the pic there makes me think it should be bigger or maybe its just because its further away from the tractor in the pic. Cant wait to see the final version painted up and all!! Nice tractor mods as well!

I thought about that in the beginning, but it would have been a lot of wasted space. It is about 14" taller from the original bag design. It will be lucky to get half full before you have to empty it. Unless I design a belt system and literally bale grass!

I don't think you're nuts. I think that's cool as heck. I have a lawn sweeper that I was gonna get rid of, only it might have a use around here in the future. Keep us updated.

Here is the finished product. Excuse the darkness. I parked the tractor in a shaded area when i took it. A replica IH 2400 round baler / lawn sweeper. i used hardware cloth to enclose the center. Its great on windy days. No leaves blowing out or grass clippings. Im rather pleased with it. Thank you everyone for watching and commenting on this post. Its been a pleasure and a privilege!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
