Sounds like Oak has dibs now. You should have taken it the day you went and looked at it.

Glad to hear that Chewy149 + your getting him to meet you 150 miles closer. Maybe you can Helicoil that busted rear and get a set of Sam's braces to fix it for good. I'd probably put a rear hitch plate from a Cyclops to stiffen up the frame if your not putting a cat 0 on it. Please post some pics when you get it, I would like to know if that was a 986 or a 982 with the front remotes added. Did he send you any more pics? If you can, send some pics of that P220 because I'm putting one in a 982 now and the tins aren't fitting like they should. Congrats on a rare 982 also.

From the pics he sent me the white looked good and I think the yellow will clean up too. I couldn't tell how many hours were on it but who cares, it's an Onan and I'm sure it has many left in it.

Did those have a yellow rear hitch plate or black?

I do not need it that is why I did not get it. I told him about OCC and he put it on here.

LOL! None of us do, but we keep buying them!!

Only time I don't buy is when I don't want a particular model, or if I am out of cash! LOL.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
