I see there are several cub owners from Western NY area. Y'all are a little farther south than I am. I'm up in Wyoming county in Warsaw. Used to live up north by the Adirondacks. Can't say that I am much of a collector YET as I only have a 1210 and a #2 cart.

Hi there. I'm from Rochester area. I've had my first cub for 23 years now. Just started this year accumulating several of them. It started with getting my second one for spare parts, but in the past year I have now got 5. All the cyclops series and I can't seem to get enough of them.

Well, I'm right down the road from you here in Owego, NY. Just started Cubbing this past summer myself! Working on rehabbing a well-neglected 127.

I know exactly where you guys are. I'm in Leroy, NY, in Genesee county, right next to Wyoming county. Had it not been cancelled this year, those visiting the Wyoming County Fair in Pike, NY would have been able to see some of my Cubs there, and they will be there next year given it actually happens.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
