I think you have a market for them if they can produce them at a decent price. People will pay for good American quality and great products. Good job on taking this project on.

As of now, it looks like there will be three (3) box blades available for sale. Not sure if any more will be produced. If so, the price will certainly be higher, as I will wind up in the red on these. Kinda knew that going into it, but it was well worth it!

If anyone should be interested, it would be best to contact me through the site or at:

nashcub1 at yahoo dot com

I might be able to make a run up to the Louisville, KY, or southern Indiana, area the weekend of the 23-24 of July. For $25 I will deliver in that area. Otherwise, I would need to get a shipping quote. It would be best to deliver to a business address.

Thanks!
Steven C.

Picked up the IH #40 Box Blade Reproduction from paint the other day. Waiting for decals to be made.

Well, I have been able to wade through some of the Cub stuff in the disaster area that I used to call my garage. I might as well rename it "the dumpster" until I get it cleared.

Still have one reproduction box blade left over that was hiding in the corner. I wanted to put it together today, but not enough time. Might try to get at it later in the week. I wish that it was already painted and I would take it to the KG plow day/show this coming weekend!

I'm thinking about shooting it in IH 935 White when I refinish some rims and QL sheet metal. I know that is not historically "correct," but I think it would look better in IH white when attached to a RED tractor.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
