If you look at the NAPA part numbers I posted, there should be numbers for the plug also.

thanks for everybody's help. I spent some time today on my project and i have two issues.
1. I already have a Cub Cadet relay, p/n: 925-1375 which is a Bosch. It has a number 0 332 209 150 on the top that I think might be a p/n but I haven't been able to track it down over the net yet. I went to NAPA today and found the plug, but the "hanger" on the Bosch/CC is on the opposite side of the NAPA plug. i would just return the Bosch/CC but its probably too late, we will see. I'm going to try tomorrow. 2. I studied the diagrams and my tractor today and I still have questions. To keep it simple I have two wires coming off the M-18 engine. A gray one from the rectifier/regulator, and a white one from the ignition module. I also have from the tractor bundled together in a harness to a three pin plug a purple, purple/white, and a light blue or light green (i cant tell) wire. Besides me not being very good with electronics, the tractor came with the M-18 in it. Everything was jury rigged, it currently has a wire running from the tractor, LT blue wire (that is bundled with a violet and violet/white wire to a 3 point plug), to the rectifier/gray wire. I turn the tractor off by grounding the ig. module/white wire. One thing I have noticed is that the battery isn't being charged, I guess it has something to do with only one wire from the tractor being connected to the engine. Anyhow, help is always greatly appreciated. thanks again, Jon |

hi all,
i picked up the relay "socket" today from napa. i also compared the bosch/ccc relay to the napa relay and they are the exact same. unfortunately im also technologically behind the curve as well. as a matter of fact i just downloaded software for a digital camera that my wife got me for christmas 2 years ago last week. i havent got to using the cam yet, but will in the near future. i tried down loading pictures from napa of the relay and socket but was unable to transfer them to this mail. anyhow pictures will be coming in the near future. for the engine: model # M18S spec. # 24500 serial # 2613402836 not to add to the confusion, but i made a mistake in my previous post where i said that i had a three pin connector wire coming from the tractor, that was a wrong statement. i have a two pin connector wire coming from the tractor. the two pins in the connector are perpendicular to each other, or in the shape of a "T". the lt blue wire connects to the top or the horizontal pin. the purple and purple/white are connected together to the pin running vertical in the "T". there is only two wires coming from the motor. a gray wire that is coming from the middle pin on the regulator-rectofier and a white wire the comes from the ignition module. basically i have two wires that will go to the relay from the tractor and two wires that will go to the relay from the engine. i might fiqure this out yet, it seems straight forward?? as usual, any help you guys can give will be greatly appreciated. even if i get it hooked up im not going to start it right away without input from you guys. with my luck, i would burn something up. jon |

Purple wire on the tractor harness goes to pin 85 on the relay.
Lt. Blue(Should actually be grey) wire on the tractor harness goes to the grey wire on the motor harness. White wire on the motor harness goes to pin 30 on the relay. Pins 86 and 87A on the relay both go to ground. AJ

ok, im runnig into some problems now.
i know that the white goes to pin 30 and the purple, purple/white goes to the 85 pin. that leaves me with two wires that can go to either 86 or 87a. i also know that pin 87 can not be used. this is what i know according to both of my diagrams. what i dont know is where the gray wire from the magnito or the lt blue wire from the tractor goes. i dont know how to read schematics but im guessing from what i see on both of my diagram that both wires can go to either pin 87a or pin 86??? im guessing the ignition switch takes care of the rest??? give me some help fellows. im struggling. jon |

The grey wire connects to the lt. blue wire. Both 87A and 86 go to a ground.

To wire up the relay, would be exactly as to the diagram that was previously sent to you. I have exploded the relay portion of that diagram...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
