I love my both Cub Cadets. The red 782 for working, (pushing Snow, mowing with 50", and plowing with the 10" Brinly), the 1961 Cub Cadet Original is restored, and for Showing.

A Friend of mine have a 123, and he want to sell it in the next Time, perhaps i will buy it, if the Price is ok. But my favorite Cub in Design is the 149, or 169, but they are hard to find here in Europe.

If i get the 123, i will sell one of my IH Farm Tractors, next Time,

mfg Georg

Being able to move the angle of the blade from the seat is enough for me! That's my biggest gripe on the blade for my 2544.

I would figure though that technically you could use it for some other purposes, I know where my dad works they have a Kubota UTV with remote hydro ports and they have a chainsaw attachment, jack hammer.... I guess you could get creative, beyond my abilities though.

Default 782

Mine is the 782. I enjoyed my 1450, but it seem to rattle too much (ISO's were fine).

The 782 is smooth, and the hydraulics laid out so both hands can be used, not just one like on the 1450.

Here is a picture of the 10 minutes I owned 2 782's (paid for one, didn't hand over my red one until after the picture was taken. it was a trade)

2nd picture is my old red 782 where it sits now in DeKalb, IL waiting for the day I can get it back....maybe....

Sorry I missed this thread till now BUT if I could only chose one it would be my Grandfathers 61 "O". I remember as a young boy climbing all over that wonderful little tractor. Then in the late 70's he sold it and got a 102. I talk to my Dad often about that "O" and if we would of known they were going to be so popular it wouldn't of ever left but according to Dad that thing was plum wore out. So my favorite Cub now and will always be my Dad's O'l 102 (now mine).

I have been pounding this thing since the late 70's and keeps on ticking.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
