Just saw a snowblower on e-bay his comment was that a q36a was adjustable. It will fit a narrow frame that's what the - a - is for --adjustable. Also I talked to a fellow member who lives near by & is coming over on Sat., to show me what to do. Nik, |

martinsuper, nice rig you got yourself, you'll enjoy this addiction.
Don't know if you are aware, but you'll need chains for blowing, the weights alone won't cut it.

Rick (member) was kind enough to stop over this morning & showed me how to adjust my snowthrower wide frame to a narrow frame. Chit chated for an hour or so & he left to save his daughters car who had a problem with starting it. All in all I just have to buy are 2 frankenstine bolts & 2 roller pin. Since he visually pointed out what to do IT'S SIMPLE. ![]() Also reviewing this owners manual above, the link above IS CLEAR on what one must do to adjust from a wide frame to a narrow. Soooooooooooooo thanks Rick & Methos for all the HELP. ![]() Nik, |

nick. your very welcome. it was a pleasure meeting with you face to face. i expect that 122 to be ready for flinging snow next time we get some. but at that rate you'll probably be putting the mower deck back on. that 122 is a nice looking tractor. you have a great setup there as far as working conditions also. if you need any other help with your 109, don't hesitate to call. i had a chance to mull over your idea for the tranny support, and i don't see any problem with what you've come up with. make sure to take some photos of that and post them here. that's a handy fix. also take some of when you change the plate configuration on the snowblower so others in that situation can get an idea of how it's done. i need to get back out to the garage and fix a gas leak on the "original". when i got back from fixing my daughters truck i could smell it through the service door. thankfully, no one was home. i'll chat with you later. rick

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
