I'm not trying to make anybody mad because I'm not but I am a little dumbfounded that some of you guys are scratching your head on why I'm doing my fuel tank conversion. I'm looking at it pretty simply
1. I would like to have more fuel capacity so I can mow my whole lawn without worrying about it running out of fuel when I'm mowing the hills around my pond. 2. I have the fuel tank and all the parts to do it. 3. I want to make my cub my own and not like most others. 4. I wanted to do something that no one else has done and have fun making it work. Sorry if I offend anyone but I just dont understand why my customization is getting bashed.

I didn't seeing anyone bashing you, merely responding to your idea. I think it's going to be more problems than it's worth, with re-routing heavy cables from/to the SG etc, but it's your tractor.

Thanks for your comment, I have to get a wiring harness and rewire the whole tractor anyway so wiring is not going to be a problem. Plus I got the battery cable run to the front already. The only problem I'm seeing that will take a little time to make is that I'll have to modify the tank clamps to attach to the battery box. I am going to get a Y and connect the two fuel lines between the front tank and the carb so that won't be a problem. That the only things I'm seeing I'll have to do.

![]() If you need to fill up multiple times while mowing, then I think this is a great idea to fix that! I'm excited to see this when its done, and I think it is going to be pretty neat!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
