Well, aside from the many Cubs, I have a Deere 140 H3 with pin on hydraulic 3 point, and a Deere 300 and both are comparable to the 1650. The 2 kubota powered Cubs I have are a lot bigger. The deisel Kubota GS5200 I have would be my favorite cutting machine with the shuttle pedal if the deck gearbox wasn't in pieces and in limbo. I do have a '63 Jacobsen Chief, Ford 100, Allis B-12, Allis HB212 with hydro lift (That should be comparable to the Cubs when I get it put back together) Wheel Horse 963, and 608 (custom) and the odd Gildson, but the Deeres and the Kubota would be my alternative when it comes to replacing my Cubs.
Now if we are talking replacing my Cub 2 wheel cart, I'd take the Deere 80 cart over any other. I have one for pretty, and one for dumping engine blocks in. The cub 2 wheel cart is for collecting dust in the garage.

With my son, EricR Super 2084 with 54" mower, 451 blower. 2086 with 3 pt hitch, 54 inch deck, 551 blower, 54 in brinly blade. A 4 digit original w deck. A 70 with deck. 2 102s both with 42 in decks, one with creeper, 1 36 inch IH snow thrower CW36, 1 42 inch IH blade. 149 with mower. 2072 w 3 pt hitch, Johnny bucket, 60 in mower, 451 blower. Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.

Wow Allen, I totaly forgot about them. I have always admired them at tractor shows and tried to buy one a long time ago. They are cool looking tractors and tough from what others have said.

That reminds me.... I need to get the mower for my Speedex 1631 out and finish fitting it to the tractor. I've only used my Speedex for the garden since I got it, but all I need for the deck is to fit a drive belt to it. I agree..... It works circles around my Cub, but then again, it's a totally different animal, too. I love 'em both!

I guess I would have a JD I looked into buying one before I got into cubs but the parts were a bit high for my budget.
