I see what you're saying Sam. My 1211 turned very easily as well with original steering components. But, I still think that the power steering is effortless in all situations. Lift the snow blade on my 2084, still steers with no effort.

One argument in your favor, I have to admit, is no power steering = no hydro whine!

I say the 1863 with the 48" GT deck, but maybe because it's mine but those red 1282's are nice too. For the money I think it's a no brainer. It has less then 750 hours on the meter, two new Kohler ignition modules, a fresh Hy-Tran oil change, Kawi oil in the motor, new seat, new front and rear main seals. I'm just trying to help a fellow member out, it doesn't matter to me if it sells.

Don't forget you can swap out the carb and gain 4 hp on the 1863.

Is that true only of the CH18? In other words, can you swap out the carb on a Command 20 and get HP gains?

What is the carb part number for the CH18 swap?

I got one from Sam and plan on installing it after I pull the 1864 engine and change the seals. I'm looking forward to the increased HP.

I didn't realize that the 1863 that Earl was talking about was yours. I don’t want to buy it out from under him but if he doesn’t pull the trigger on it soon let me know, now that I sold the JD I have space for it in the Cub Den. Keep me posted.

Oh yeah, I'm on it, I drove it today at Vince's almost ran it into Todd's smoker just for giggles. It runs and drives so nice..
