Don't you just hate it when that happens Sam!

When I had two headlights, one burnt out and one good one, and I dropped the good one
Hate that when that happens.

Dad rebuilt my PTO in spring of 12 and when he was working on packaging it up to be shipped to me he dropped it and gizzed up one of the lugs on the fiber disc. It works-- then this last summer I find one of the throwout levers gone. Thankfully the nuts fell off the rear of the bolt, the lever ended up in the front end (cast piece) and I had to rebuild it again.

This happened to me earlier this year. Working on a Cat D3 one of the blade cylinders busted a O-ring n wiper seal. Took the ram apart and replaced with new one. Reinstalled it, and in the middle of testing it out blew the hydro lines. Replaced those and working it again blew the hydro motor. I hate it when that happens.

On a cub note though, I noticed my 1650 had developed a nasty shake. I jacked it up to inspect the engine bolts only to find it had one finger lose. One backed half way out and two MIA. I really hate that!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
