![]() OldSkull- glad I could provide you with the inspiration! Plowing is nice but I think blowing snow is more fun. When the snow is really deep and gives the cub some work to make that motor really start talking there are few better sounds! |

Dad had (had) a 125 for years and brought home a 782 and I never got into the sound of the engine. Didn't "sound" like a CC to me.

To be honest it really depends on the amount of snow. Second gear creeper was ok til I got to the end of the driveway where the snow plows did their work then I moved over to first with creeper. First gear creeper works fine with the rest of the driveway but I find it doesn't really make that Kohler "talk" and it doesn't throw snow as far as the auger is not as full

I agree- they sound okay at idle but once reved up they are to smooth sounding - they almost hum which is just not for me. I like my Kohler bark and all the rattles and shakes that come with it!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
