He does have a blower, as a matter of fact I think he has (2)! I just dropped a QA36A off at the Fastenal store, and it is headed for South Dakota? I think that ones going to be a donor for his other one.

But I have a dozer plow and blower fro my 782. The dozer is fine for when you have a small amount of snow, but the way it's been piling up around here lately, the snowthrower is the only way to go.

Even if I had a plow on my truck, it is getting dificult to find places to push the piles to. The driveway that goes to my shop, would be very dificult to do with a plow truck. Just no room for this much snow.

But now that I have my H42 and cab on the 782, it will probably be 60 deg next week!

This was earier this year, the day I took the dozer blade off, and put the QA36A on;

You can see that was a full load on the blade, if you angle the blade and try to windrow it, this deep heavy stuff just pushes the front of the tractor over, opposite of the angle on the blade.

And none of that has melted, we have only gotten more since then.

Skinny wheels and tires.

That is a lot of snow though...

Nice pics of the 782 with thrower and blade! That's usually how it goes to, get the tractor set up how you want it and it will be 60 next week!

Or did you mean on the internal swashplate? If so, that is not a good idea. Besides, then you would have to make the slot in the dash longer. NOT worth the work of disassembly.
Yes, I meant the internal swashplate. Maybe you could trade max forward speed for more rear speed with the same dash slot?

Oh, I suppose you could..... this has been debated here before. I am very adamant, that unless it is completely necessary, to not disassemble a hydro. The internals are more sensitive than any internal engine part, and really shouldn't be messed with. There really isn't any gain. Not to mention the safety issue of neutral not being in the neutral spot.

I solved my faster reverse problem. Sadly, solving the problem doesn't involve a cub cadet.

thanks for your help guys

Do tell? What did you come up with, a house in the Florida keys? No snow to plow there!

I would agree that messing with the swash plate would be a desperate measure. Disassembling the hydro, however, is not particularly difficult, as long as you are careful and meticulous. I've rebuilt a couple and they run better now. The new trunnion and springs makes a world of difference in how the tractor operates.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
