Man oh man, you should go into detective work! I've heard of people using PS pumps on these tractors before but a Studebaker! Thanks Jonathan for the good work. I think I'll just replace it with one that I know a little more about. ITMT, if you find someone who needs a good Stude PS pump tell them you know where one is!

Bet you could C-list that!! I sent the info to my hydraulic shop. They laughed, said "Well, you never know what you will find!!"

As far as figuring it out, it was driving me nuts! I'll just say, google is my friend. I just kept researching Eaton pumps. I thought it may have been a PS pump because of the mounting studs and the shaft style. Plus, I was like 100% sure it was a vane pump. Well..... it kind of is a vane pump. Almost a cross between a gear rotor and a vane. Anyway.... now we know! Now, go get you one that will work! Seriously, I'd c-list or e-bay that thing. Never know, might get enough to buy you another pump!

Well I finally finished the installation of the Johnson 10 but I put it on a JD 318 instead of a CC. It was made for a narrow frame tractor but I beat it into submission! I had to make the 318 a full time loader and not a quick change. It was too complicated to alter it to do that. The nice thing about the 318 is that I could use the tractors hydraulics and did not have to use the Johnson controls.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
