So I made the extension brackets the bolt heads won't clear the quick attach will this blade fit a model 73?

The setup I showed you is for a 70-123.Not sure why others say it will fit.BTDT

I did, I was hoping for something to work. Since the only difference is the front mounts. Does anyone have the dimensions of the correct mounts that fit a QA tractor. I think I'll just cut off the old and make new.

So here's what I came up with, I cut the old mounts off. Then I locked the rod in the quick attach. Flipped the mounts 180° and moved them to the outside. With the mounts hanging free I raised the plow and carriage to be flush with the bottom of the mounts. They are kind of on a angle to weld flush, but it will mount and fit in either mounting hole. I understand it would be alot stronger with it also bolted to the frame. But for as much use as it will see its perfect for me! Easy on eady off!

Looks good to me. I doubt that you will have any trouble with it the way you did it.

So as long as you've got the blade in the trip position when moving snow, you should have no issues with it set up that way IMO.

Newbie here and here with a new dozer (plow).

Mounted one on my 1641, a few modifications and all's well.

Just flipped 'n turned the blade edge, new hardware, Never-Seez.

Question is, "Can the blade be locked not to trip?" I saw your post, got me thinking.

This is crazy. I just re engineered mine exactly the same way and didn't see your post until now, bought the same subframe, wouldn't fit my 123, tried the 73, no dice. Did the exact thjng you did and used pin, now locks in to qa on my 73, great minds think a like!

I've been asking a lot if people for measurements including Jeff a while back but the subframe itself will not fit the 123 without those other brackets (you never told me about them Lew?)

Anyway, that frame must be specific to just 70 and 100 then?

Edit: realizing now that I was missing the extension brackets but I like the way we did it, fits the frame exactly.

Yep you can lock it, then when you hit something it will pitch you over the steering wheel possibly damaging parts of your body that you may want to be able to use for more enjoyable things than plowing snow. Oh yeah it could also damage the tractor or the plow.
