I took that off, and cleaned it. While looking at it, I noticed that the little screw was all the way in. I unscrewed it, and noticed that it was a fuel shut off valve. WELL...... I put it back on, fill it up, opened the valve, and low and behold the tractor starts right up. I then sat down, cracked a beer and started to laugh.....
We've all been there. At least you can blame yours on the previous owner

..at least it's an electric start and not a manual yanker. It's worse when you yank by hand and once you are worn out realize the gas was off.

Here the two Cubs I bought. I ended up selling the 105 that I was initially having trouble with. A co-worker purchased it, and wanted to completely restore it and gift it to his father. I kept the 1200. Wheel weights and plow included.

The 1200 runs like a top. It has some rattles in the hood and seat, but I'm sure I can fix those. The fenders have had a repaint on them, but as you can see they are the right paint.

Interesting that the cast end deck is mounted under the 1200. And with the qa subframe, very cool and nice looking quiet line you got there.

I tried the PTO, and the belt is stretched and keeps coming off. Spins good though. I have been interested in CC tractors for a long time. I do snow removal at about 10 neighbors homes. I have a 30 inch snowblower, but by the time I'm done.... I AM DONE ! After watching a few videos on youtube on different snowplows on Tractors, I decided the CC would be the one ! I'm hoping it will help my back, legs and arms.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
