Yes, I used a 1450 parts tractor to create a 1250 with hydraulic lift.

All the towers have these hole's however you're may not have the lever bushing that is on the lever side, it's held in by a expandible clip.

Are you sure that is a 61 not a 67, the 67 would be a 1650. Most parts are inter changable but there are differences. There were also changes for different years. The early cub quietlines had 3/4 inch front axles and the later ones had 1 inch front axles. Steering wheels changed design. Some quietlines had disc brakes and some have internal brakes. Clutch return springs were different. When you order parts it is good to know your model number but they will also want your serial number too, due to the changes during the years.

please give us the entire serial number. It might help identify it.

called charlie at ccspecialties and gave him the serial # and it came back as a 1250. the pump to my knowledge is not ported. the only two "caps" are on the top. of course i was looking at it last nite at 1230 with a flashlight. are the caps the same size as the ones on top or smaller?? in my eyes its a 1650 cause it has the 16 horse on it.

done some more research on the net and discovered that it is not a ported pump. my next question is that while i was on the cub today i noticed that the speed would adjust on its own and i had to keep adjusting the hydro lever to compensate, can anyone tell me why its doing this?

Couple of things, check to make sure the bolts that hold the rearend to the frame are tight and check the wear on the trunnion.

Its probably the trunnion worn causing the problem and it will need to be welded up and reshaped or you can buy a part to fix it from this guy.

I haven't used the part from xtreme but am planning on trying it on my 149's

I am still pretty new to hydro's and I am sure someone else will have some more help for you.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
