![]() ![]() If you need to get those pins out it will probably take a good pin punch, heat, penetrating oil, a bit of cursing and lots of patience. But like Todd and Alvy said, I wouldn't remove them unless there is a need to service any of those parts. You can work around that stuff unless it is worn or sticking. Good luck! Looks like you have a fun project! ![]() I need the inspiration to get mine out of storage! ![]()

When I rebuilt my clutch, I bought the IH-368372-R91 Bearing, Needle Thrust and TC-780007 Washer, Clutch Release Thrust Brg (X-2), and 732-3017 SPRING-COMPRESSION (teaser spring) and IH-376265-R1 BUSHING from my dealer.
I had the driveshaft built by my local machinist, as well as the, Clutch Release Collar Bushing, Clutch Shaft bushing. The Clutch Release collar assy. was good so I got lucky there. As long as everything isn't binding in and around the clutch brake pedal assy. I would leave it well enough alone. I did take mine all apart, for painting, but I'm kinda anal that way.

You will most likely need the inner bushing tha Jeff makes. The collar has a 1-1/8" od x 1" id (if I remember correctly) bronze bushing inside it that will need to be replaced. I sourced the thrust bearing that Alvy mentioned and the bronze bushing from McMaster Carr, just had to trim the bronze bushing length down as it is an odd length.
As far as replacing the spring, if it is not damaged it will be fine to reuse. I replaced mine because the last 1" of coils were compressed and the end was no longer flat. Bill |

Clutch pulley itself should have friction material bonded to both sides. So they're both gone?

Or if you have an industrial clutch and brake rebuilder nearby they should be able to make new disc "linings" and rebond them for you.. We have a guy nearby that has never failed me on any clutch or brake lining. He once re lined a gravely brake band for me. I have never personally been into the inner workings of an "O" clutch so any of you "O" veterans please feel free to correct me if any of this not correct! ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
