I might as well throw an answer into the mix.
It is a good thing that there is no real correct or incorrect answer to this question. It is only an opinion, and here is mine. Personally, I like Quietline and larger 82 series tractors. The lines are clean, they are easy to work on, they are smooth and easy to handle and have enough power to do their assigned tasks without over-taxing the machine. I also like the fact that they have an alternator and a separate starter, and not the wiring rat's nest of the previous series tractors. I always thought the starter-generator and the regulator that was necessary to make it work was an electrical nightmare. This is a downfall of Kohler in not going to a separate starter before they did. Everyone, IH, Deere, Allis-Chalmers, Wheelhorse, etc., that had Kohler engines had this problem. Good as they are, when Kohler went to a starter/stator/alternator, it was a great improvement. This is just my opinion. I guess everyone is entitled to it.

I wonder if the question includes farm tractors / I saw some 4wd , 4 cyl Cub Cadet / Yanmars up to 50hp that I wouldn`t mind having.

The best cub cadet is your go-to cub when you have a job that has to get done, failure not being an option. My 72 is my favorite, but my 125 is the best tractor I have ever used. That factors in a lot of off-brand machines, as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
