I found a pic of the braces but it might be an old pic from Sam. So the sgt braces would go on first, then my 3 pt hitch mount. That would make the hitch mount stick out farther but that shouldn't be an issue. As long as the braces don't come up too far on the rear bolt of the tractor, I think I'll be ok so it doesn't interfere with the pto plate.

If you take a tube that fits loosely inside of the fill tube and goes down at least a couple of inches into the trans housing, it keeps escaping air from burping oil out the top of the fill tube. (Works for me anyway)

I know exactly how it fits and it will work with your hitch. BTDT. One set on a 2284 (CADPlans) and another on a 2182. Pics are of the 2182.

That pic was the prototype. Here are a couple of the latest design. This was on a 1782 without the 3 point hitch. I replace the front frame plate bolt that come in the kit with a socket head bolt for better fender clearance.

You can also unscrew the dip stick tube and use a long funnel or tube to go down into the top of the tranny to fill it. Very easy and fast if the fender pan is off.

That's a good idea Sam, you could use a crows foot type stud remover to remove the fill tube with the fender pan still on. Sorry, I'm still a newbie with these, all I have had to do is change the trans oil so far.

I know now the braces will work with the 3 pt hitch part, but what about the rear pto part?

If you look at this pic, you can see a red line above the 3 pt hitch brackets. Does the brace go any higher than that red line? Because if it does, it would interfere with the rear pto black brackets.

Man, you really don't pay attention.
For the last freaking time, they will work. Been installed on lots and lots of machines. Sam designed the damn things. I think he would know.

Jim

I am 100% positive that they fit with the complete Cat 0 OEM Cub rear PTO hitch. Here is another pic of Cad's 2284.

Taylorjm, the rear pto only mounts to the rear cover and top of the rear housing. It will work. I have several of the rear braces on my machines with rear pto.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
