Well.... I found it very hard to believe that someone would remove the rear PTO and keep it in a box. Next to no one has rear PTO attachments, and half the owners out there don't even know what they are for, let alone have enough foresight to remove them so that they stay in as good of condition as possible. From the beginning of the thread, when I saw that it didn't have the PTO on the machine, I doubted he had the parts for it. Plus.... seen too many people think the stub shaft out the back of the trans is a rear PTO. Yeah.... they all have that.

Don't give up on it cause it doesn't have an option you will never use. Just offer less. Still a super with a 3point.

I agree. The hitch is worth around $500 if it is complete so if you get it for $1500 that is only $1k for a SGT. If he has some of the rear pto parts they are worth big $ too.

I was really hoping that he had all of the parts, but oh well it's a very clean tractor and his garage and vehicles look hospital grade clean, other than some paint on the deck the tractor looks new, I'm going to offer less $$$$ I will keep you all updated thanks to everyone for their input

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
