Next up was installing the air piping to and from the turbo. The original air inlet tube was cut in half to create an elbow, then the air tubing was routed around and into the turbo. The boost air from the turbo to the intake manifold passes over the valve cover. On the Kubota, the engine oil fill has an extension that must be removed to lower the fill cap so that the air tube can pass over it.
I stopped at this point and ordered a reducing elbow to go from the turbo to the air crossover pipe. One is 1 1/8" and the tube is 1 1/2". I think that will make for a cleaner installation. One of the biggest obstacles to over come will be the exhaust from the turbo to the stack. I am going to try and exit the engine compartment thru the original passage in the side cowl. I ordered a couple of close radius U bend tubes used in making race car headers from Jegs.
http://www.jegs.com/c/Exhaust-System...0002&langId=-1 They can be cut and welded to create the snake that I need! Once the exhaust is built I will modify the factory exhaust support and reinstall the belt tensioner.

I can't believe it but the UPS man has already dropped off the turbo hoses and the exhaust tubing I ordered on Tuesday. Fast shipping! The turbo hose was just a matter of slipping it in place. I still need to buy a couple more clamps. As for the exhaust, I sectioned the two U bends into different angles I needed to bring the exhaust out the original opening in the side panel. About two hours of cutting, grinding, tack weld, cut, grind, tack weld (you get the picture) and I finally had something that would work. I have one more item to complete. I need to build a bracket for the belt tensioner as the original was attached to the exhaust spacer. Maybe smoke and whistle tomorrow! I'd be interested in hearing what everyone thinks I should do for the stack. Leave it as it is now, taller, tip out, chromed, etc. What should I do?

Looks great. I like the exhaust. Well done. Drive it around and evaluate if smoke gets in your eyes. May have to elevate the stack.

Turbo time
I think it looks great, but I believe you will have to do an operational evaluation of your exhaust - smoke in the eyes is not good. Will you be doing a video of some HOT laps around your property? I am sure everyone is very interested in how it performs. Nice work!
