That was the premise of me putting in a vent. I don't see how it couldn't be vented. I looked all over but didn't find one. Is there a small brass one or something that is possibly clogged and that is why I haven't seen it?

The fill tube is the vent. Cap on the dipstick is vented.

Possible, but not likely..... but he added another vent, so it better be.

If nothing else it will be easier to fill.

I think what you meant to say is. Yes, you are correct, it is splashed lubricated and the pump does not pressurize the case. But if the dipstick vent it plugged, it can build up pressure from the oil and metal expanding.

No, I meant exactly what I typed. The expanding air is what causes the pressure. Even if the trans was pressure lubricated with a pump, that wouldn't cause the case to be pressurized.

And that answer was much better than the condescending one you used the first time.

Maybe you're just oversensitive. My first answer looks fine to me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
