Pull start as in recoil rope starter or pull start as in "It won't crank, get a log chain!"

Looks like a fun time, and great way to talk about tractors. Maybe someday,.....

Default Plow Day

Thanks for sharing the videos Tim. Looks like your 1050 did an awesome job of plowing. It was really laying that dirt over. When and where is next plow day? Have a great day.

The next plow day I will be going to is this Saturday in Renfrew, PA. So far the weather looks decent so I'm hoping it doesn't rain.

Here's a video of the Cub's on the trailer heading east on I-80, if you skip to the 5:50 mark that's where I begin to climb the mountain and the scenery is real nice.

Thanks for the vids Tim, really enjoyed them.
And your cub story, was entertaining. I was waiting for the part where everything went horribly wrong. Glad it turned out all good. Sounds like it could have been a pants filler at that speed...

Default What is "plow day"

I keep hearing about "plow day" but I don't quite understand what it is.

Some of us guys are from the suburbs and have never heard of it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
