Can't beat that price, no way, no how!!! These things are made in China and are being sold directly through Amazon by a Chinese Seller.
I remember my the first time I bought a bunch of lighted 20A rocker switches for some projects directly through ebay from a Chinese retailer. I think I paid something like $3.42 (including shipping) for 10 of them. I couldn't even buy one at that price in the local stores. Of course I had to wait weeks for the ship to arrive at the port! American companies are hell bent on making us pay top dollar for items sourced from China, sometimes up to a 1000% markup, mainly because they are very greedy! That's capitalism for you! As a member of that capitalist society you have the right to buy whatever you want from wherever you want, including China. Again, that's capitalism for you. It works both ways!! Glad you found such a great deal on Amazon. From what I understand, over 50% of Amazon sellers are Chinese. They work out special deals with Amazon to get their products listed as first selections and have them displayed many times to get you to buy from them. Amazon stocks the products so you don't have to wait long to get them.

You don't have to buy thru Scamazon or Fleabay to buy direct from China.

I ordered 5 of the relays from the same seller but mine ended up being $12. One of my Green tractors has a problem engaging the starter so this morning I put one of the relays on it. I was expecting Black to be ground and red to be power in but that was wrong. I found a wiring diagram in this thread in the tech section
https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...=starter+relay One of the post by Mike Mckown shows the diagram. That got me to wondering about Mike, haven't seen him post in a few years. The wiring on mine was 30 Black 85 White 86 Yellow 87 Red 87a Blue Don't know if their all that way or not. Cannon |

I have not felt well for the past few weeks but today I wired my fuel pump. I took Darkminion's method and wired it to the hot wire on the hour meter. Tractor started but now the amp meter has a light glow while running, even at higher rpm's. Also, I can hear every time it pumps, at the hour meter. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for reading and have a great evening.

Current through the Voltage Sensor controls amp lamp intensity. By adding the fuel pump to the hot side of the hour meter, you have essentially wired the fuel pump and the voltage sensor in parallel. When components are wired in parallel and total current flow remains the same, current is distributed through each branch. Thus you now have less current flow through the voltage sensor because a portion of what it had before is going through the fuel pump, and the light glows dim. This doesn't mean you have a charging problem, just that you've upset the metrics. If you can live with the slight glow you should be fine. |

Ironman, thank you for responding. I could probably live with the amp light on dimly, but I can't live with the clicking in the hour meter every time it pumps. The only problem I was having was that it cranked too much before starting. Could I wire it to the headlights? I could turn lights on and let fuel pump do its thing for a few seconds, then start tractor and leave it in run position after starting. This tractor would rarely be used after dark if at all. Please give me your opinion as I value it very much. Also, is this the correct in line filter for this tractor? Thanks so much and have a great day.

You could power the fuel pump with a relay and then have the relay powered by the the hour meter circuit.

CubDieselFan. Thank you for reading and replying. Relays come with 4 or 5 wires. Would have no idea how to wire it up. If someone told me exactly how to wire it, I would still have trouble and mess it up. Also, I believe I would still hear the noise at the hour meter every time it pumped. Thanks again and have a great day.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
