so he spent 3 hours on doing a crap job, charged 108 dollars. but if he had gotten it done correctly would have charged you 195 for 3 hours @ 65 per hour.

all i can say is wow i have found that in some cases i have bought tools having invested as much in them as i would letting someone else do the job just to have the tool when the job is done even if i may only use it once every five years or so. if i had the room i would have a press even if i only "needed" it once in the last 5 years to get somthing apart.

I know what you mean concerning mechanical....things of sorts. In my life I have only paid someone to fix/replace something on my vehicles, on four separate occasions. One out of the three were to my satisfaction. I normally just do it myself, or in other cases (involving home, etc.) I'll do a little research and find a specialist that knows what he's doing. Paying a little extra for that specializing is just fine by me.
