Well got it tuned up and changed the oil, purrs like a kitten. Here's a couple picture's from today she's pretty clean under the hood needs a little clean up but not much. Took the polishing compound to it to and the paint looks new. Took a shot of the bottom of the deck to. I'll get it out in the sun tomorrow and get better picture's of it. Thanks for all the compliments.

Alright guys I have a question. The grill on the 582 doesn't have the small black bars in it like all the others I have seen. The grill in it looks like it never had the bars or the small hole's at the top for the retaining springs. My question's are did they use two different grills and I just never noticed before and should it have the black bar's nin the grill or not? I did get it out today and took her for a spin. Man what a difference those Autolite plugs make. It runs like a top. I think I'm going to really like this tractor!!!! The only thing I don't like are those front tire's, they don't turn at all in the snow, lol. Here's a shot of the grill and a shot I took today while I had it out. Thanks again for the compliment's.

Very nice Junior,
Is that the original paint?
The 582 I had had the same grill but it also had the grill screen in there.

Thanks, No it's been repainted, not sure how long ago. Yea I saw the grill screen on the parts look up but it said it wasn't for the early 582 ? Should it have it? If so looks like I'll be looking for one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
