Lovin those pics of the 128 man! The hubcaps really set it off.
Oh yeah, I cut my yard with my 1978 1450 today. I was enjoying the seat time so I cut in back and forth passes instead of big round paths like usual. Trying to mix up my cuts so the grass grows in a little thicker in spots. I need to adjust my deck height up a hair though, I have been cutting a bit too short so far this season.

I took my cub down to the beach and picked up a trailer full of sand for my sidewalk stonework, and then i cut grass. I think the cub loved working.

Mowed tonight with the 127 and the tag mowers. Had to work on tag mower number 1 it hit a root and damaged the starter recoil, kind of weird! Need to find some more 22 inch push mowers for spares.
Regards, Chris

I've been getting in some regular mowing between rain showers.
This 104 is a mowing beast! I love it - I get done in an hour what used to take 2 w/ the ol' MTD. The cut quality is SO superior to my old mower and it takes the slopes and rough terrain I have here in stride! I've been fighting the mule drive belt flipping off on a regular basis - The mule drive is pretty chewed up around the tensioning pulleys and although I did some major building up of worn areas with my welder, it still isn't close to being true. After fiddling with the deck level and lots of back and forth on the adjustment it's working well now. I think I'll be able to get through this season OK and I'm repairing/replacing things as they're needed. I now consider myself an official Cub Cadet Convert! |

My 782 and I had a great day of mowing and sweeping. Supposed to rain for the next several days possibly so wanted to actually mow dry grass for once. I really like the sweeper. That is sweet.

The yard looks great! Glad the weather is cooperating with you, if only for one day.
Forecast is looking wet here over the next days as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
