Thanks guys I appreciate it. I love a good looking yard and try to keep it up as best as I can. A little over 2 acres to mow. I am just glad the neighbors yard didn't show up in the pics. Just pisses me off it looks like a hay field. It hasn't been mowed once this year yet. Grrrrrr.. but I digress... sorry. Had to vent.

I put a new seat on the 126 and tried out the refurbished 42" cast end deck. I picked up the seat at TSC. It's a steel seat and I got it for the price of the plastic seats they sell because it had no label or markings on it whatsoever. I did have to make an adapter plate to mount it since it didn't have the right bolt pattern.

I added a belt guide to my deck to hopefully prevent the PTO belt from flying off of the deck like it has in the past. It's simply a piece of 1/8" steel and a 5/16" bolt with the head cut off held to the plate with a couple of jam nuts.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
